Caroline Rowland

Caroline runs Patchwork Harmony, an online creative hub and blog covering all things interiors, vintage and crafts. She also edits and designs 91 Magazine  – an online homes, style, vintage and crafts magazine which is published a few times a year. Patchwork Harmony not only encompasses Caroline’s blog which she has written since 2008 and the online magazine, but the editorial services she offers in writing, picture research and design. She also provides one-to-one creative business advice sessions to people wishing to start up their own venture.

When she’s not working, Caroline loves nothing more than rummaging at a flea market, car boot sale or antique shop, or pottering in her little garden, trying her best to keep things alive. She loves a little jaunt to the country to find the best of cream teas or old English sweet shops! And to relax, nothing beats curling up with a cuppa and her favourite magazines.

A few questions about nice things...

Who do you most admire?

No-one specific, but I admire anyone who takes the bull by the horns and makes things happen for themselves! You get out of life what you put into it, so I have admiration for people who reach for their dreams.

What are your favourite possessions?

I have lots of vintage bits and bobs that I’ve picked up over the years which I love, and I have a watch which was my grandmothers which is beautiful and always makes me feel happy when I wear it.

Tell us about your perfect day or weekend...

My perfect weekend would be to get up early, bundle into the car with my fiancé and head for the coast or the countryside. Spend the afternoon exploring and rummaging in some antique shops, perhaps stopping for afternoon tea before treating ourselves to a slap up dinner that evening with a good bottle of wine!

What makes you happiest?

The simple things in life; a cup of tea in the garden on a sunny day, a crafty project that turns out just how you wanted it, or a good catch up with an old friend.

What would you like to do in the future?

Well at the moment my dream is to work for myself; building on the success of 91 Magazine and Patchwork Harmony and hopefully working on lots of other creative projects too!
